With the downturn in the American Economy many are struggling to make ends meet and take care of their family. Many believe that it will get much worse before it gets better. Here at Friendship Community Church we believe that it is the Church's responsibility to care for our members and friends when in need and not the government. To that end we have established Joseph's Pantry.
We ask every member and regular attender to bring one item of non-perishable food for the pantry every time they attend. This food is stored and made available to our members and friends when they need assistance. Pantry managers regularly inspect the food and food that is about to go out of date is donated to other ministries or pantries that can use it immediately. We don't charge for this food we just ask that when the member or friend can they also contribute to the pantry.
In doing this FCC members and friends are provided with a safety net without the involvement of the government and without the bureaucratic difficulties of government programs. It is God's People taking care of God's People.
